WHAT DO THE REPUBLICANS BELIEVE?
We believe that the job of the federal government is NOT to take care of people, but rather to protect the freedoms and liberties that we as Americans treasure. We believe that the duty of a politician is to protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America. We also hold to the belief that the constitution is one of the greatest documents ever written. We believe that our government should be smart and effective without being large and overbearing. We believe in being responsible. We also believe in holding others to be responsible for their actions. We believe that the government at any level should only provide the services that are essential and that cannot be reasonably provided by the private sector. We believe that if something is not broken, it does not need to be fixed. If it is broken, it should be fixed in a way that is effective and responsible and will be a permanent solution rather than a short-term quick fix. We believe in free enterprise. We believe in the American Dream, that life is what you make of it and that you have the opportunity to realize your dreams. We believe that your representatives should listen to you and represent you when making decisions. We believe that the future of America depends on the decisions that our country makes NOW. If we do not protect our freedom, it will not be there for future generations. We want our children and our grandchildren to grow up in a country that they are proud of.
